Menopause clinic consults

30 min appointment with the clinic nurse folllowed by a 30 min appointmentt with the GP

The nurse will go through your personal and family history and questionnaires that we will ask you to complete prior to the appointment

Implanon removal

This requires a 30 minute appointment with the clinic nurse and the GP

Please note

The cost of an implanon removal is $200 with a rebate of $105.15

Patients can have another implanon inserted on the same day if they choose to continue this form of contraception

They need to bring the new implanon with them and do not need to have their period if they are having a removal and reinsertion done on the same day

The cost for this procedure is $260 ( for removal and reinsertion ) with a rebate of $205 from Medicare

Implanon insertion

This requires a consultation prior to the procedure to discuss contraception options , the procedure , the cost and to consent the patient

This is a standard appt - $100 - 15 mins )

The insertion appointment requires a 30 min appt with the nurse and the GP- and this will be booked by the GP after the pre procedure consult

Please note - the patient should attend for this procedure when they have their period - or if pregnancy has been ruled out - and they need to get the implanon dispensed by a pharmacist and bring it to their procedure appt

The implanon insertion has a fee of $ 200 with a rebate of $100 from Medicare )

Patients need to book a pre procedure appt ( standard 15 min $100) to discuss their contraception needs / the procedure / the cost and to obtain a script for the IUD)

Dr Tiffany will then discuss the procedure and book the patient in for the procedure

IUD Removal - requires a 15 min standard appt at the clinic
