Travel Vaccinations
We offer a full service and all travel vaccinations for Travel Health, including;
Destination specific travel medicine advice
Recommended travel vaccines
Preventative medications for malaria and other infectious disease
Travel documentation for required medications
Assistance with travel medical kit preparation
Medical documentation for claims in the event of travel cancellation due to illness/ trauma
Patients need to book a travel vaccination Consult ( standard 15 mins appt ) with one of our doctors first to go through their itinerary and confirm what vaccines are required
They will then come up with a vaccine schedule for the patient
who will then be booked in with the nurse for the required vaccines on another day ( this visit with the nurse is covered by Medicare )
Consult cost is $100 for 15 mins
Travel vaccines costs are separate - patient will be provided with a fee schedule for the vaccines
Each family member requires a separate travel consult if you are all going away together
Travel consults can be done as a Telehealth
It is recommended to have your travel consult at least 1 month before you travel - as most vaccines take 2 weeks to become effective
It is helpful to bring any records of past vaccines to your travel consult - eg a yellow fever book if you have one
